Purpose of participation
I find that Anthropology has been trapped behind a paywall and is isolated from the public. The purpose of my participation is to help make Anthropology accessible to everyone through decolonization and intersectional feminism. In other words, using this platform to have non-white and non-binary voices to be heard.
My vision for Popular Anthropology Magazine: is to help include as many voices as possible and give each of these people a moment to have discussion with others to bring to light unconscious bias. To invoke change by sharing stories of triumphs and failures which will help Anthropologists in all fields to reflect on their own.
Why is Anthropology important to you? Anthropology is important to me because it is everything I want to learn. I found that I am a jack of all trades and Anthropology allows me to dive into literally everything. I adore the world and find humanity to be confusing, Anthropology allows researchers to learn more about ourselves and others.
