My vision for Popular Anthropology Magazine
I want Popular Anthropology Magazine to be a space for marginalized academics to decolonize and deconstruct Anthropology, to provide a platform for researchers from marginalized communities that gives them a voice, and to finally diversify a field steeped in racism and colonialism.
Why is Anthropology important to you?
Anthropology, when properly applied, has the power to educate and improve our world by understanding humans in every aspect. The kind of knowledge and understanding Anthropology can provide, and the approaches it teaches, are a powerful tool that more people should be equipped with.
